Iruhin, Tagaytay Outreach

Published by neil under Faith Christian Fellowship, friends, music, outings on September 4, 2008

Got invited to play, perform, and minister to a Baranggay in Tagaytay. People were responsive and In His Presence Church was very accommodating.

Tagaytay Outing August 2008 Tagaytay Outing August 2008 Tagaytay Outing August 2008

If I’m not mistaken, 20 people have received Christ as their Savior and Lord. That’s good. That calls for 20 parties in heaven. Songs we performed were Love moves in mysterious ways, Deeply in Love, and another song I cannot remember now.

Concert approach was love. The different kinds of it. How dangerous, foolish, wonderful, and pure it is. The message was well received.

On the side, I seriously have to work on my shaky, nervous hands when performing on solo guitar. =(

Much thanks to JD for having us over for dinner, Stephen and Kuya Noah for inviting us to perform. We had a great time in Tagaytay.

Tagaytay Highlands

My friend and fellow DSLR enthusiast / photographer Jaybz has uploaded his set from his Canon 40D. He has nice landscape and profile photos of the Tagaytay Highlands.

Visit his flickr page here.

Good work man!

Tagaytay Highlands

Are not here yet…

Check out his flickr page for updates! I am publishing this post to put pressure on him! =P

He’s also a photography enthusiast so check out his shots! He’s got superb ones and would generously give away Canon gear to those who comment good on him over the net.

Mwehehehe!

Tagaytay Highlands

Many thanks to Melai for tagging me along with some other GTS friends in Tagaytay Highlands for the weekend! The place is wonderful and it’s my first time to set foot their. There were no casualties. Hehe.

Tagaytay Highlands

Four of us guys (Thanks to Ted and Mike) played Wii, Wii, and even more Wii. Yoshi was the lead character. The others were just extras. Mwehehe.

Tagaytay Highlands

The view was magnificent from the Condo unit where we stayed in. I remembered my UP college prof where she said Tagaytay Highlands feels like a foreign land. Now I know she wasn’t exaggerating.

The kids were live entertainment for us. I introduced myself as Tito Pogi to Kian. Mwahaha! And she happily (and innocently) obliged. I love kids. Haha! Mika in her tender age won’t be able to grasp it and I’m sure sir JC would do anything in his power to keep her off me! :-P

One more thing, there were 3 of us who had DSLR’s that time. They had zoom lenses. Me? I’m stock material, babuh!

This is JB’s Canon 100-300mm USM Lens. Wow!

I’m still uploading the other pictures so be patient as they come. =)

Carla is such a perfectionist…she holds a varsity level skill at deleting pictures she does not like. =P  Do not kill me Carla!

Eastmar Sportsfest 2008

note: I could not take pictures of every event. I wished I had a zoom lens. I accept donations.

note 2: For the meantime, I cannot afford to “share” the pictures too because people have not been taking my “link back” (neil.lolin.net) request seriously. So in order to protect my work and yourself from me, this is the best way I can do it.  If you want a copy, please feel free to contact me.

Or leave a comment on this blog entry. Just make sure you introduce yourself.

Call me “masungit”, “mataray”, “OA”, or whatever, I really don’t care. Generally, I am kind.

GENERALLY.

Ok, now that we’re done with that:

It was a blast. It was tiring. It was sweaty. It was hot. It was dirty.

We had some pretty good stats.

1st place:

  • Basketball - Congrats to Marlon and Team!
  • Pingpong - My sister played. Congrats Cess!

2nd place:

  • Pingpong - I played, had the opponent from MFBC to 3rd set, I lost. 21-19. Sayang. If time allowed, I would have wanted another set since it was a round robin, but it wouldn’t be fair for me to be 1st since I lost to him on 1 best of 3 match
  • Volleyball - Congrats to Beng and Team!
  • Swimming - Congrats Sara!
  • Games of the General - my cousin Rodell played. Congrats!
  • Badminton (women) - Reyanne - Congrats!

I don’t remember the exact stats of the others. This is all I remember for now. Don’t get angry, I can only write what I know.

Yes, we had one. Thankfully, we did.

Thankfully Melai was able to provide a nice venue for us. So a big thanks to her. =) And thanks to Ms. Peapie for inviting all us.

Grabbers, please give a link back to my site. I am requiring this. There will be no exemptions.  All photos are protected by a CC License, you may grab, edit, post, or do whatever you like with it provided you give due credit, which is a simple link back to my site.

That isn’t too much to ask now, is it? (*This is the kindest way of saying it. I’ve deleted my original post. Muwahaha!)

Too bad the others weren’t around anymore.

Missions Possible : FCF Youth Camp 2008

Published by neil under Faith Christian Fellowship, friends, outings, vacation on May 21, 2008

Faith Christian Fellowship recently held their Youth Camp where I got involved with.

The place is nostalgic since this was where EASTMAR held their youth camp 10 or 11 years ago. This is where my good friend Jai and his brother Jet met. We’ve crossed paths several years after that and we play together in one band  on several occasions.

These guys rocked. I have a HUGE gallery of pictures from the event. Resident musician and photographer still. Hehe.
