Yagami Light - Death Note

Yagami Light Cosplay by Gabriel Sharp.

After much hearsay and blog readings, I have finally succumbed to watching Death Note. I recently bought a loaded 500GB hard drive with movies and found a folder named “Death Note”. Naturally, I opened it up, loaded the 1st episode at around 10PM, kept going, and naturally slept at 1AM.

I am hooked up. This series is finished and done, so no more agonizing waits unlike Bleach, who just recently returned to its Hueco Mundo arc. Finally, it has returned to the roots of the original Bleach Manga story line.

Anyway, watch Death Note and know it’s really worth your time. Otherwise, you can leave your name and a picture at the comments. Hehe.

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

Castlevania Portrait of Ruin

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin for Nintendo DS has been out for quiet some time now and I recently got my hands on it thanks to my brother who graciously lent me his DS.

Jonathan Morris and Charlotte Aulin

Jonathan Morris and Charlotte Aulin

Following the platform style of the Castlevania standard Symphony of the Night, this game is addictive. Like all other good video games, time flies when you’re exploring and unlocking every secret possible, picking up every dropped item, finishing every quest, defeating all monsters, and collecting every item that exists in this game.

Then when you’re done with that, you can play the game again with most of the items you’ve collected, or play it in HARD MODE. Or you can play the game using the two of the game’s antagonists, the Sisters.

You get to swap at will with your partner. It’s a classic combo of brains and brawn. One is a fighter, one is a spell caster. And yes, Charlotte brings out swords and axes out of that book. Special attacks are available from special weapons on Jonathan’s end.

Along with this is MASTER level of the subweapons that Jonathan receives. It is basically a stronger version of the subweapons, like a bigger cross bumerang or a bigger axe to throw. Charlotte’s spells are stronger when you charge them before you release.

I just finished the NORMAL mode last night. I kicked Dracula’s ass so many times. I think I have played and finished most Castlevania in my life time, minus the gameboy and Nintendo 64 releases, Castlevania 2 of NES, amd Super Castlevania of SNES.

This game’s art is Anime styled, similar to likewise another Castlevania DS release, Dawn of Sorrow.

Ichigo Hollow

Published by neil under Bleach, anime on July 14, 2008

This is a good guy. Believe me, he really is.

Awesome.

Ichigo is tasked to save souls from those who devour them…until he became one. It would have been fun if he had a more monstrous form of this one.

Kurosaki Ichigo Model

Bleach’s main character gone hollow.

This Ichigo model along with the other characters that came with this set is fine to look at and really a collector’s item for Bleach fans.

This is my take on toy photography. I’ve chosen the best and did some post processing. Hope you like it.

I don’t know who this guy is, but he does a nasty portrayal of Bleach character Shinji Hirako. How he did the mouth is beyond me.

The good and bad

The good and bad of Bleach.

Good would be the current manga line where it explains the origin of the Vaizards.

Bad would be the current anime line where it caught with the manga too fast now it’s a filler with us hoping for a good enough story line.

Worse is we can’t do anything about it.

Worst is waiting week after week to know what happens next.

This is Shinikita’s work on deviant art. Pretty awesome.

Watch bleach 166 online here.

Grimmjow vs Ichigo

This episode blew me away. And to think I was looking for Bleach 167 last night! It slipped me that the last episode I watched was 165. I waited 2 weeks for this…now I’m back to square one. Only this time I have to wait for a week to see the next episode.
