November 28, 2008 - was a day everyone would wish never happened.
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened
Today never happened
Grieve.
Stand.
Move.
By God’s grace, we’ll move again…as if this day never happened.

Dream Theater wizard keyboardist Jordan Rudess plays around with the Korg NanoKey. It is now available for around 50 USD. No, it is not available in the Philippines. =(
This bizarre mashup of real estate and theoretical physics was created by local artists Dan Havel and Dean Ruck, who saw in the abandoned house an opportunity to remind people how fragile the fabric of spacetime really is.
Danny Javier of the Apo Hiking Society has invited over at his home just to catch up and spend some time. It was his small way (BIG FOR ME) of treating me for my birthday.
He’s best known for his songs and his group APO, but his artistry also comes forth in his passion for Bonsai trees and landscaping. He has toured me and shared with me his Bonsai collection, how it started, and what makes a good Bonsai.

“The fulfillment is something that money cannot buy” were his words for this craft.
That is a horse, the other one is a tree.
From this angle, I really feel like I’m under the shelter of a tree.
All in all, it was a rather personal time with him. I pray the best of life and more years for Ninong Danny.
Well, another year older, but you don’t feel it. At least not yet.
Zea, Jhellai, and Karen are good friends from the office who gave a piece of dark chocolate and stuck a candle to it for me to blow. Aaawww…
Thanks girls!
I also bought myself some presents that day…well, expensive presents rather. It was totally out of the plan, but because you have fellow photography enthusiasts who somehow possess the power to entice you to purchase gadgets beyond your budget, you will be left broke but happy. Aaah, the agony.
GEAR
Bought a Nissin di622 flash, macro extension tubes, camera IR remote, and the Energizer 15 minute charger. Once again, I am broke..but happy.
SURPRISE, SURPRISE
Jannette surprised me when I got home. She arranged a surprise party for me when I got home. Visitors were mostly churchmates. She also arranged for my HS friends to come, but everyone was busy with their respective jobs. Ok lang. It was a weekday anyway. Thanks Jannette! =)
Lo and behold, around the end of evening, Danny Javier (photo from www.apohikingsociety.org) of the APO Hiking Society called me to greet me. He’s my godfather. He invited me over at his home for lunch the following day. I happily agreed. After 15 years, I’ve never been back at his home. This was another surprise. I’ll write a separate post on it.
Thank you Lord for another year. Once again, you’ve proved yourself to be faithful, even when you didn’t have to.
I’m not so sure if I’ve covered everything up my title.
We held a small gathering of people in Caleb’s place to have a costume, post-halloween party. Everyone was game.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take a solo picture of Sheryl, who is as enthusiastic in photography as anyone who has an addictive trigger syndrome. She either played a car show model or a varsity player. I could be wrong though.
Had the opportunity to play for a birthday celebration in Timberland. Thanks to Mr. Nitoy Mallillin for the referral. I can no longer remember the name of the celebrator, except that she is the president of Filinvest Real Estate, if I’m not mistaken. Susan Roces was there. I knew she was famous but I didn’t remember at that time who she was and where I saw her.
Gig went well. Played some oldies but goodies.
Who knew a place like this existed waaaaaaaaayyyy up San Mateo?
